This auction is for an authentic FBI wanted poster for Black Panther leader J Edgar Hoover which has been framed in a distressed gold rope like profile. The page is facsimile signed by J Edgar Hoover and lists Cleaver as being wanted for assault with the intent to commit murder and being "armed and extremely dangerous". The page itself measures 8" x 8" and has a fold across the middle as issued. The piece is dated December 18, 1968 and has been matted with a single black mat. It is a great historical artifact with political undertones and would make an excellent addition to any historical collection of Americana.
