For your consideration is this 19th century Japanese Imari ginger jar. This 5" tall porcelain features a traditional design with red, blue, and white decoration. The lid is not present and the jar has several deep cracks, though no complete breaks. It does present well when on the shelf and would make a great piece for comparison study. There are no marks on the underside, indicating it is probably from the earlier part of the Meiji period. Do not miss the chance to add this Imari ginger jar to your porcelain collection.
