Early Taxco Articulated Pendant Sterling Silver 925 Aztec Emperor Cuauhtemoc
This pendant features a detailed depiction of the last Aztec Emperor Cauthtemoc which has dangle bits on the bottom and the entire center section pivots. It functions as both a pendant and brooch, though the brooch pin is slightly bent and the clasp is missing the locking part, though it holds securely. It is an early Taxco example without the Eagle mark which was instituted in the late 1940s. It has a makers mark of JS on the reverse.
