For your consideration is this antique hand painted Japanese Satsuma geisha 7" vase. This piece features a beautifully painted geisha with flowing robes on a pinkish lavendar backgound. The vase itself is cobalt blue with floral decorative elements and gilded bands. Some of the gilding, especially near the top, has worn off. This is common for such an old piece and it is an indicator of age. There are three gold lines on the underside with no additional marks.
